Another possibility is for the sales department to use KPIs in order to settle<br />

performance objectives, such as the number of the new products sold every month.<br />

Other example of such indicators could be defined:<br />

- the average income on customer;<br />

- sales versus target for every employee of the sales department;<br />

- the success rate (the number of contracts signed of the total).<br />

In the present case, I considered as performance indicators: the products value,<br />

the sold quantity, and the average price and I took into account the days of the current<br />

month and the days of the last month till the same day.<br />

5. Conclusions<br />

Business intelligence systems are contrasted to more classic forms of<br />

information gathering by their interdepartmental focus and their general overview<br />
