Stuck A cpe
ROSS CHARLES, OWNER of Ross Charles Hairdressing, knows all
too well how easy it is to slip into a colour rut and that lifting yourself
out of it can seem an impossible task. But for him, it was entering
a colour competition that did the trick. Ross and his salon team
entered the L’Oréal Colour Trophy as it’s a “fabulous chance to create
some inspiring imagery and showcase your colour abilities”.
Linton & Mac won L’Oréal Colour Trophy last year and they found
it a wonderful tool for getting the team motivated and excited. “This
award has made us all feel unstoppable as a brand,” says Sarah
Black, principal stylist at Linton & Mac.
Kai Wan, owner of P.Kai salons, enters the Wella Professionals
TrendVision Award every year, while Caroline Brand, owner of Oracle
Hair & Beauty, won a global Bronze at Goldwell’s Color Zoom last year
in the Creative category. She loved bringing elements of what she
learned during the competition back to the salon to inspire herself
and her team.
But for Lydia Wolfe, from Tony Wood Hairdressing, it was all about
the taking part. “Winning gold in the Stylists’ Favourite Award New
Talent Catgeory at Global Zoom is something I’ll never forget, but
getting to meet and compete against stylists from all corners of the
world and share our adoration for the industry was incredible.”
