What Do I Do if the Home Page Displays “Charging paused”?<br />
If the text after the battery icon (on the home page) includes “Charging paused” (as shown in the<br />
screenshot below), try the following:<br />
● Connect your device through the micro-USB cable.<br />
● Disconnect from the <strong>3G</strong> or <strong>4G</strong> network.<br />
● Turn the device off and wait until it no longer feels warm to the touch.<br />
Note: The “About...” LCD information screen will display “chrg paused.” (For more information on the LCD<br />
information screens, see page 17.)<br />
If the Connection is “Always On,” Am I Always Being Billed?<br />
No. The connection to the network goes dormant after a period of inactivity, but the connection can<br />
be re-established faster than having to reconnect. Billing occurs only when data is passed across the<br />
network.<br />

What is LBS?<br />
LBS (Location-Based Services) is used to provide enhanced Local Search feature via internet<br />
mapping services. (For more information, see “Performing a Location Search” on page 60.)<br />
What is GPS?<br />
GPS stands for Global Positioning System, which is a system that uses a series of 24 geosynchronous<br />
satellites to provide location data.<br />
GPS satellites transmit signals to equipment on the ground. GPS receivers passively receive satellite<br />
signals, but do not transmit.<br />
What is Enhanced Local Search?<br />
Enhanced Local Search is a quick, easy method to run, via the browser interface, local search queries<br />
to find locations and directions to locations and businesses.<br />
