OUR ORGANISATION
Council is the governing body that appoints a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO has responsibility for the
day-to-day management of operations in accordance with the strategic directions of the Corporate Business Plan.
Four Directors, together with the CEO, form the Executive Management Team (EMT) and lead the organisation.
OUR EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM
Each directorate is directed by a Director who reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CEO is directly
accountable to the Council elected by Wanneroo residents.
The EMT meets on a bi-weekly basis to oversee and manage the operations of Council and once a month to
specifically discuss strategic issues. Members of the EMT attend all Council meetings and provide information
and advice enabling Council to make informed decisions on strategic and policy issues. This executive team
is supported by 21 service unit managers and staff who have responsibility for implementing the policies and
directions set by the Council.
