The delay is due to additional time<br />
required to finalise the Yanchep-Two<br />
Rocks Developer Contribution Plan<br />
(DCP), obtain Council endorsement<br />
of the Marmion Ave Extension and<br />
Oval Groundwork’s costs, and await<br />
the end of the appeals period for<br />
the DCP. This process delayed the<br />
project by six (6) months, in the main<br />
due to the requirements of the Deed<br />
of Agreement between the City<br />
and Yanchep Beach Joint Venture.<br />
Construction works for the access<br />
road and groundworks commenced<br />
in June 20<strong>15</strong>. Design of the active<br />
sports field and the community<br />
building is scheduled to be completed<br />
by December 20<strong>15</strong> and following<br />
the appointment of a contractor,<br />
construction works are likely to<br />
commence in March 2016.<br />
