Papa had been pretty disappointed that he<br />

hadn’t been able to fly <strong>the</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>Mystery</str<strong>on</strong>g> Girl, his little<br />

red and white airplane, into <strong>China</strong>. That’s how<br />

<strong>the</strong>y usually traveled around, or ei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>on</strong> Papa’s<br />

green and white boat, also named <str<strong>on</strong>g>Mystery</str<strong>on</strong>g> Girl.<br />

But rules were rules and <strong>China</strong> seemed to have<br />

lots and lots <strong>of</strong> rules.<br />

“Boy, are we ever going to get out <strong>of</strong><br />

this airport?” grumbled Mimi. <str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g>y had<br />

been through passport lines, immigrati<strong>on</strong><br />

lines, and bathroom lines. Mimi was not f<strong>on</strong>d<br />

<strong>of</strong> lines.<br />

As <strong>the</strong>y stood in line, Grant kept peeking<br />

at <strong>the</strong> map in his pocket. He was curious about<br />

<strong>the</strong> golden drag<strong>on</strong> with jade green curlicues all<br />

around it.
