Leaving Kowlo<strong>on</strong><br />
So<strong>on</strong> it was time to return to H<strong>on</strong>g K<strong>on</strong>g<br />
and <strong>the</strong>ir hotel. Li and C<strong>on</strong>g stayed in Kowlo<strong>on</strong><br />
to spend <strong>the</strong> night with <strong>the</strong>ir parents at <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
hotel. “We will bring our children to you in <strong>the</strong><br />
morning <strong>on</strong> our way to work,” said Mr. Fu.<br />
Reluctantly, <strong>the</strong> kids said goodbye to<br />
<strong>on</strong>e ano<strong>the</strong>r at <strong>the</strong> ferry terminal. Once<br />
aboard, Grant and Christina waved at Li and<br />
C<strong>on</strong>g until <strong>the</strong>y were finally just two small dots<br />
<strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> dock.<br />
Mimi and Papa had g<strong>on</strong>e up to <strong>the</strong> upper<br />
deck to sit down. Christina and Grant stayed<br />
downstairs <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> main deck. When <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
grandparents were out <strong>of</strong> sight, Christina asked,<br />
“Grant, that’s not what your fortune cookie<br />
message really said, right?”
