<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> kids groaned. Papa was always making<br />
corny jokes. Mimi always laughed at <strong>the</strong>m.<br />
After <strong>the</strong>y ordered, <strong>the</strong> kids asked if <strong>the</strong>y<br />
could look around <strong>the</strong> display cases in <strong>the</strong><br />
restaurant while <strong>the</strong>y waited for <strong>the</strong>ir food to be<br />
served. Mingled with <strong>the</strong> modern décor were<br />
glass cases filled with what looked like ancient<br />
Chinese artifacts.<br />
As <strong>the</strong>y got up, Christina glanced at her<br />
bro<strong>the</strong>r. She noticed that he looked much more<br />
relaxed. Surely <strong>the</strong>y were safe from <strong>the</strong> angry<br />
man here? But when would <strong>the</strong>y ever really get<br />
to look for a treasure that seemed to be located<br />
somewhere <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Great</strong> <strong>Wall</strong>? Mimi and Papa<br />
had not even said anything about visiting that<br />
famous historic site yet. And besides, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Wall</strong><br />
was thousands <strong>of</strong> miles l<strong>on</strong>g—good luck finding<br />
<strong>the</strong> locati<strong>on</strong> drawn <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> map!<br />
“Wow!” said C<strong>on</strong>g, looking at <strong>on</strong>e <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
larger display cases. “Look at <strong>the</strong> famous<br />
Terracotta Army!”<br />
Grant and Christina stared at <strong>the</strong> large<br />
photo <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> enormous army—more than 7,000<br />
soldiers, <strong>the</strong> display said—all standing in what<br />
looked like an endless gravesite!<br />
“What in <strong>the</strong> world?” asked Christina.
