were am<strong>on</strong>g <strong>the</strong> first few people <strong>of</strong>f <strong>the</strong> plane.<br />

Grant, who had been last in line, had given<br />

Mimi and Papa a quick wave and pointed toward<br />

<strong>the</strong> terminal. He figured <strong>the</strong>y would know he<br />

meant “meet you at baggage claim.” But <strong>on</strong>ce<br />

<strong>the</strong> kids raced through <strong>the</strong> airport to <strong>the</strong><br />

baggage claim carousels, <strong>the</strong>y found that all <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

haste had been a waste. <str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g>y just stood <strong>the</strong>re<br />

and waited <strong>on</strong> Mimi, Papa, <strong>the</strong> luggage to<br />

appear…and <strong>the</strong> man.<br />

“Oh, no! I forgot!” Christina cried<br />

suddenly. “Mimi and Papa just have an overnight<br />

bag with <strong>the</strong>m in <strong>the</strong> overhead bin…we d<strong>on</strong>’t<br />

need to be here at <strong>the</strong> baggage claim.”<br />

Li looked all around <strong>the</strong> thr<strong>on</strong>g <strong>of</strong> people<br />

ga<strong>the</strong>ring to claim <strong>the</strong>ir luggage. “Well, I guess<br />

<strong>the</strong> bad guy didn’t have luggage ei<strong>the</strong>r. I d<strong>on</strong>’t<br />

see him anywhere.”
