As <strong>the</strong>y passed behind each agent, <strong>the</strong><br />
agents ei<strong>the</strong>r grumbled, gave <strong>the</strong>m a warning<br />
look, or ignored <strong>the</strong>m. So<strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong>y reached <strong>the</strong><br />
end <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> counter. Grant peeked out and could<br />
see <strong>the</strong> man looking for <strong>the</strong>m in <strong>the</strong> wr<strong>on</strong>g<br />
directi<strong>on</strong>. “Come <strong>on</strong>!” he said, and dashed for<br />
<strong>the</strong> exit door.<br />
Before <strong>the</strong> man ever turned around, <strong>the</strong><br />
kids were out <strong>the</strong> door. <str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g>y spied Mimi and<br />
Papa at <strong>the</strong> taxi stand looking all around for<br />
<strong>the</strong>m. <str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> kids waved and dashed to catch up.<br />
By <strong>the</strong> time <strong>the</strong>y got to <strong>the</strong> taxi stand, Papa had<br />
<strong>the</strong> taxi doors open and <strong>the</strong> kids jumped in.<br />
“I was starting to worry where you kids<br />
were,” said Mimi, as she settled down in <strong>the</strong><br />
jump seat.<br />
“We’re so used to having sooo many bags<br />
we went to <strong>the</strong> baggage claim,” Christina<br />
explained. She left <strong>of</strong>f <strong>the</strong> part about taking a<br />
detour behind <strong>the</strong> ticket counter.<br />
“But why are you kids slumped down in<br />
your seats like that?” asked Papa, as he got in<br />
and slammed <strong>the</strong> door behind him.<br />
“Uh,” Grant began. “I guess we’re just<br />
tired?”
