Course length: 1 or 2 years | Code: 4013<br />
Entry requirements<br />
• 2 GCSEs at grade 3 (D), to include English. Maths<br />
must be at grade 2 (E) or above.<br />
or<br />
A BTEC Certificate/Extended Certificate/Diploma<br />
at Level 2 Pass or above, plus a GCSE grade 3 (D)<br />
or above in English.<br />
• You will have an interview and further assessment<br />
to check the course is right for you.<br />
• A positive attitude, a willingness to try new things<br />
and enthusiasm for learning.<br />
About the course<br />
The main focus of this course is to provide you with<br />
the skills and confidence to take your career to the<br />
next level, progressing on to a Level 3 course or<br />
finding employment in an area of your choice. You<br />
may need to resit English or maths GCSE, in order to<br />
help meet the entry requirements of a Level 3 course<br />
next year.<br />
You will have the chance to try out a range of<br />
subjects linked to our main full-<strong>time</strong> courses<br />
which include Sport, Travel & Tourism, Childcare,<br />
IT, Business, Music and Horticulture. There will be<br />
lots of practical activities on offer, which will help to<br />
develop your personal, social and work skills.<br />
You also get the opportunity to gain valuable work<br />
experience that will enhance your chances of<br />
securing employment by the end of the course.<br />

you want to do next. If you want to stay at <strong>College</strong>,<br />
you will be clearer about which subject you prefer<br />
