You do not need any qualifications but a desire to<br />

progress to further education or work is essential.<br />

confidence and gain new skills and qualifications?<br />

<strong>Shipley</strong> <strong>College</strong> is working in partnership with the<br />

Prince’s Trust to deliver the Team Programme and<br />

this could be the course to get you going if you are<br />

out of education or unemployed, and looking for<br />

direction and ideas for the future.<br />

Please note, the course is free and if you are<br />

unemployed, it will not affect your benefits such as<br />

Jobseekers Allowance/Universal Credit.<br />

About the course<br />

There are three start dates throughout the year,<br />

in September, January and May for this 12-week<br />

programme. It will provide you with a great sense of<br />

achievement and an opportunity to make a difference<br />

in your local community.<br />

You will:<br />

• Develop skills that help you in life and in jobs.<br />

• Meet others and work together in teams of up to<br />

15 people on a range of practical projects to gain<br />

experience in areas such as gardening, cooking or<br />

performing, to name a few.<br />

• Benefit from careers advice, help with job hunting<br />

and your CV.<br />

• Take part in a community project.<br />

• Have two weeks work experience.<br />

• Go on a three night action packed residential.<br />

• Develop your personal skills such as confidence<br />

and team working.<br />

You build a portfolio recording your experience and<br />

upon successful completion, you will gain a nationally<br />

recognised qualification.<br />

Your future<br />

Three in four young people who take part on Prince’s<br />

Trust schemes move in to work, education or training.<br />

From this course, you may also progress on to a<br />

traineeship, an apprenticeship, a course or in to work.<br />
