Guiseley AFC Partnership<br />
We have been working in partnership with<br />
Guiseley AFC since <strong>20</strong>13, giving talented young<br />
footballers the opportunity to combine high<br />
levels of coaching five days a week, alongside<br />
continued academic study. The benefits gained<br />
mean some students have been accepted as<br />
‘High Achievers’ at university. Recruitment for<br />
the football academy has gone from strength<br />
to strength and the collaboration has proven<br />
valuable to the club and the players.<br />
Last year, we had another fantastic season<br />
with <strong>Shipley</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s U19 Academy First team<br />
coming top of the North East Alliance U19<br />
League; finishing off the season as runners<br />
up in the National Cup. This was an amazing<br />
achievement for all the coaching staff and<br />
students involved. The players worked tirelessly<br />
all season, training four <strong>time</strong>s a week with<br />
some students committing to travelling long<br />
distances to be a part of the team.<br />
