Entry requirements<br />
• You should be at least 16 years old.<br />
• A job as an apprentice in a Health & Social Care<br />
setting for a minimum of 30 hours a week (this<br />
will include one day in <strong>College</strong> per week).<br />
• You must pass an initial assessment in English<br />
& maths.<br />
• You will have an interview.<br />
• A clear Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check<br />
at the start of the course.<br />
About the course<br />
This apprenticeship prepares you for work in Health<br />
& Social Care roles such as Support Worker or Care<br />
Assistant. You need to enjoy supporting others, have<br />
a responsible attitude and be committed. You will<br />
complete the Care Certificate, a Level 2 Diploma in<br />
Care and a self-reflection task at the end of your<br />
programme, which will be submitted to the End Point<br />
Assessor to prepare for your professional discussion.<br />
Please note, unless you already have grades 9-4 (A-<br />
C) in maths and English, you will need to study up to<br />
Level 2 in these subjects.<br />
Your future<br />
After your apprenticeship, you could secure work<br />
and progress within your chosen career or choose to<br />
train further with the Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3<br />
Apprenticeship.<br />

Entry requirements<br />
• You must be 18 years or over.<br />
• An apprenticeship vacancy in a Health & Social<br />
Care setting for a minimum of 30 hours a week<br />
(this will include one day in <strong>College</strong> per week).<br />
• A minimum of 1 year’s relevant industry<br />
experience and/or a Level 2 qualification in Health<br />
& Social Care.<br />
• You must pass an initial assessment in English<br />
& maths.<br />
• You will have an interview.<br />
• A clear Disclosure and Barring Service DBS check<br />
at the start of the course.<br />
About the course<br />
You will care for individuals with specific needs<br />
including disabled or elderly people, or those with<br />
learning disabilities. You will help plan support needs<br />
to enable them to live fulfilling lives. This care can<br />
include helping a person to get dressed or assisting<br />
them with their shopping.<br />
This course prepares you for role as a senior support<br />
worker or senior care assistant. You will need to<br />
complete the Care Certificate, a Level 3 Diploma<br />
in Adult Care and a self-reflection task in your last<br />
month. You will also need to pass the End Point<br />
Assessment and a multiple choice test.<br />
Your future<br />
After your apprenticeship, you can study a course at<br />
college or university, such as a Higher Apprenticeship<br />
or use the skills you have developed and the<br />
experience you have gained at work to progress<br />
further in your job role/career, potentially in to<br />
management.<br />
