How to apply<br />
You can either:<br />
• Fill in the application form on the pages opposite,<br />
put it in an envelope, add a stamp and send it to<br />
Student Services. See address on the back page<br />
of the form.<br />
• Apply online at www.shipley.ac.uk – you can<br />
register your details and you track your progress.<br />
• Call Student Services on 01274 327281.<br />
• Come to an Open Day and apply on the day<br />
(for dates see page 04).<br />
Entry requirements<br />
Whatever your qualifications and school experience,<br />
we will help you make the best choice. Look at the<br />
courses and the entry requirements before you apply.<br />
You will then have an interview and possible further<br />
assessment.<br />
Your interview<br />
Interviews will be with a tutor from your course area.<br />
These interviews are friendly and supportive, giving<br />
you information about courses and <strong>College</strong> life. You<br />
are welcome to bring someone along with you such<br />
as a parent/carer, friend, relative or personal advisor.<br />
If you have any particular needs with accessing<br />
<strong>College</strong> buildings or if you need additional support<br />
at your interview, please let us know. Call Student<br />
Services on 01274 327281 in advance, so that we<br />
can put everything in place for you.<br />
Offer of a place...<br />
In nearly all cases, you will be made a conditional<br />
offer of a place at your interview. Offers are<br />
made based on you achieving the GCSE grades or<br />
vocational qualifications required for your course.<br />
Some offers may have additional entry requirements,<br />
such as an audition for a Music course or examples of<br />
artwork for an Art course. If you have any questions<br />
