THE POWER OF COLLECTIVE MIND<br />

This brings us to a point that challenges a lot of what’s been said before,<br />

but requires clarification if one is to really get it! Because we must<br />

realize that changing one’s embedded modes of belief and behavior is<br />

far from easy. In fact, it is one of life’s toughest tests. It is a process at<br />

which even the most successful and enlightened of individuals fail on a<br />

regular basis. This is because there is no such thing in this lifetime as<br />

finally arriving at perfection. Rather:<br />

What separates successful people, defined as those who attract<br />

prodigious quantities of health, joy, love and prosperity from the rest, is<br />

not that they cease to fail, but when they do fail, they put forth the effort<br />

and focus to get back on track more quickly.<br />

They do so because at some point in their lives, they learned that their<br />

conscious, on purpose ability to grasp control of their own causative<br />

inputs was their greatest gift. They may have never thought about it or<br />

articulated it in those terms, but on some level they knew it. Most<br />

importantly, it is something that every person can know and get better at<br />

applying in their day-to-day life.<br />

The question is, why is this such a challenge? A friend who was<br />

reviewing an early version of this material said, “Hey, this is all very<br />

interesting and the stories are great, but at this point in life, how am I<br />

supposed to figure out why I think, feel, believe and do what is either<br />

good or not so good for my life? Don’t these things become so deeply<br />

embedded that usually a person just reacts without thought? How am I<br />

supposed to contend with these things?”<br />

It is the $64 billion question. In fact, while my friend was saying a
