MOBY I identification system<br />
Mobile data memories MDS<br />
■ Overview<br />
MOBY identification systems ensure that important data accompanies<br />
the product from the very beginning.<br />
Mobile data memories (MDS) are first attached to the product or<br />
its transport or packing unit, e.g. workpiece carrier, then inscribed,<br />
modified and read using non-contact methods. All the<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mation that is important <strong>for</strong> manufacturing and material flow<br />
control is thus available on the product.<br />
A rugged housing supports use under harsh industrial conditions<br />
and makes the MDS resistant to many chemical substances.<br />
MDS 401<br />
Compact data memory (8 KB FRAM), flush button <strong>for</strong>m <strong>for</strong> identifying<br />
small workpiece carriers, housing dimensions Ø 27 mm x<br />

FRAM memories have the advantages of the SRAM and<br />
EEPROM memory. They do not need a backup battery and can<br />
