<strong>CNC</strong>-integrated user interface <strong>for</strong> measuring, balancing and<br />
acoustic monitoring<br />
Displaying real-time in<strong>for</strong>mation and programming are the basic<br />
ergonomic demands on the user interfaces of machine tools.<br />
Marposs proposes a user interface that can be integrated in the<br />
<strong>CNC</strong> control <strong>for</strong> connecting Marposs gauges to <strong>CNC</strong> machines.<br />
Features:<br />
7 Input of parameters <strong>for</strong> the individual cycles is tailored to the<br />
end user:<br />
- PART/CYCLE program generation<br />
- Cycle control limits<br />
- Selection of measurement elaboration according to the part<br />
surface<br />
- Control limits of grinding wheel unbalance<br />
- Control limits of the acoustic sensors signal<br />
- Determination of the masses position to manually balance the<br />
grinding wheel<br />
7 Shared user interface: These features are fundamental in the<br />
case of applications on different makes of machines in the<br />
same production section at an end user plant.<br />
7 Combination both of pre-process, in-process and post-process<br />
measurements with grinding wheel balance systems and<br />
gap/crash control functions in only one hardware.<br />
7 Both automatic and manual wheel balance functions are integrated<br />
in only one system. Thanks to integrated sensors to<br />
check vibrations in the machine tool and to automatic balance-cycle<br />
management, the <strong>software</strong> installed in the system<br />
can do without portable grinding wheel control systems.<br />

Laser tool inspection<br />
■ Overview<br />
Software <strong>for</strong> Marposs spindle measurements, monitoring of<br />
contact tools and laser tool monitoring on machine tools.<br />
Measuring cycles <strong>for</strong> part and tool measuring cycles with<br />
Marposs Mida measuring heads and Mida lasers. Easy programming<br />
thanks to the special user interface. All the necessary<br />
measurements can be per<strong>for</strong>med on the part and on the tool <strong>for</strong><br />
rapid setup of the machine, high-speed monitoring of the part<br />
be<strong>for</strong>e and after the machining cycle as well as continuous<br />
monitoring of the safe range of stress.<br />
Tool measurements with Mida laser:<br />
• Tool status and breakage<br />
• Measuring the length and diameter of the tool<br />
• Checking and updating the length and diameter of the tool<br />
• Checking the condition of the cutting profile of the tool<br />
• Measuring and updating the cutting radius and determining<br />
the deflection range<br />
• Compensating the thermal deviation of the machine axes<br />

• Measuring of drilled holes, pins, pockets and shoulders<br />
