Art has the ability to positively transform society, <strong>and</strong> you can be a leader who initiates that change<br />
through a rewarding career in settings such as arts educational institutions <strong>and</strong> community arts<br />
outreach organizations. art education institutions <strong>and</strong> Community Engagement provides you with<br />
the ability to design arts educational programming that is pedagogically sound <strong>and</strong> meets diverse<br />
communities’ needs. You also learn to apply best practices of community arts work <strong>and</strong> facilitate<br />
arts-based social justice initiatives. To complement your training, participate in a seven-week field<br />
placement within a supervised community environment, where you directly support the programming<br />
of a partnering organization.<br />

• Completion of a diploma or degree in an artistic field<br />
