FAST-TRACK PROGRAM Practical Nursing for Internationally Educated Nurses 9352 LENGTH INTAKE CREDENTIAL LOCATION 1 year/3 semesters Fall, Winter Ontario College Diploma Morningside FAST-TRACK Delivered at an accelerated pace, this program is for internationally-educated nurses looking to work as registered practical nurses (RPNs) in Canada, certificate-holding RPNs who wish to upgrade to an Ontario college diploma, and RPNs out of practice for 10 years or less. The curriculum is in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario’s (CNO) Professional Standards and National Entry-to-Practice Competencies for Registered Practical Nurses. It focuses on developing knowledge, critical thinking, communication, teaching and learning, advocacy, research, leadership, and ethicaldecision making skills — and applying them in health care settings. Participating in a practice course and a 14-week consolidation period in clinical settings prepares you to be a leader. Notes: 1. The Practical Nurse diploma for IENs at Centennial College is currently approved by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Current graduates from this program are eligible to apply for registration as RPNs in Ontario. For further information regarding this CNO approval process, please visit cno.org/become-a-nurse/. 2.
