7.3 Blended Delivery<br />

In <strong>2006</strong>, most training featured a range <strong>of</strong> delivery modes to suit the students, the subject matter and/or industry involved.<br />

Teaching, learning and assessment strategies covered in learning programs included, but were not limited to:<br />

• teacher-centred classroom delivery<br />

• tests, presentations, and other classroom based assessments<br />

• educational support/remediation<br />

• self-paced delivery and associated assessment<br />

• on-line delivery and assessment<br />

• live work programs and associated assessments<br />

• tutorial sessions for learning support<br />

• on-line and telephone supported coaching<br />

• work placement<br />

• on-the-job training<br />

• work place assessment<br />

• assessment for skills recognition<br />

• clustering <strong>of</strong> competencies as required and<br />

• combinations <strong>of</strong> the above.<br />

In 2007 further attention will be placed on the application <strong>of</strong> Recognition <strong>of</strong> Prior Learning in the workplace as well as extending<br />

the models for delivering training in the workplace, based upon successful models developed and trialled during <strong>2006</strong>.
