Income and Costs<br />
In the calendar year <strong>2006</strong>, <strong>Challenger</strong> <strong>TAFE</strong> achieved 100.53% <strong>of</strong> WA Department <strong>of</strong> Education and Training’s training delivery,<br />
as set out in Addendum 5 to the <strong>2006</strong> Delivery and Performance Agreement. In total 4, 785,212 hours <strong>of</strong> training were delivered<br />
within Australia. In <strong>2006</strong> the Cost <strong>of</strong> One Hour <strong>of</strong> training was calculated at $15.22. In December <strong>2006</strong>, the College achieved a<br />
level <strong>of</strong> expenditure consistent with estimates provided by the College under Section 42 <strong>of</strong> the Financial Administration and Audit<br />
Act 1985. The <strong>2006</strong> target was a Total Equity <strong>of</strong> $117,903,984 and the <strong>2006</strong> Outcome resulted in a Total Equity <strong>of</strong> $147,715,289,<br />
the difference in value being primarily due to changes to valuation.<br />
Training was also provided to the Department <strong>of</strong> Defence and <strong>of</strong>fshore in a number <strong>of</strong> countries. These activities do not accrue<br />
Student Curriculum Hours which form a measure <strong>of</strong> the College’s effi ciency.
