• Investigating customer comments by employers or trainees/apprentices relating to Challenger TAFE’s quality of services and
standards, and providing the complainant with assistance with any related dispute resolution.
Statistics
Challenger TAFE experienced growth in the number of apprenticeships and traineeships registered over the past twelve months.
Apprenticeships were up by 29%; whilst Traineeships increased by 22% on the previous year’s fi gures.
There was growth in the Apprentice and Trainee enrolments in Building & Construction and Metals & Engineering because of
labour shortages and a boom in resources and the housing market. In addition government strategies were in place to address
skill shortages in these industries.
