regarding unratified C<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong>s and Recommendati<strong>on</strong>s<br />
GB selects a group of C<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong>s<br />
(and accompanying Recommendati<strong>on</strong>s)<br />
<strong>on</strong> which n<strong>on</strong>ratifying<br />
governments will be<br />
requested to report.<br />
<strong>ILO</strong> sends a request for reports<br />
<strong>on</strong> the selected instruments, including<br />
report forms, to governments;<br />
govern-ments are to<br />
c<strong>on</strong>sult employers’ and workers’<br />
organizati<strong>on</strong>s <strong>on</strong> their<br />
replies.<br />
<strong>ILO</strong> sends letter to nati<strong>on</strong>al employers’<br />
and workers’ organizati<strong>on</strong>s<br />
informing them, am<strong>on</strong>g<br />
other things, about the above<br />
obligati<strong>on</strong>s of their government.<br />
Deadline for government reports;<br />
copies of the reports are<br />
to be sent to employers’ and<br />
workers’ organizati<strong>on</strong>s.<br />
Committee of Experts makes<br />
the “General Survey”.<br />

of its reporting obligati<strong>on</strong>, if<br />

Employer spokesman in<br />
the Applicati<strong>on</strong>s Committee<br />
participates in a special sitting<br />
of the Committee of Experts.<br />
Employers prepare their<br />
comments <strong>on</strong> the “General<br />
Survey” for the ILC.<br />
Employer delegates to the<br />
ILC participate in the discussi<strong>on</strong><br />
of the the “General Survey”<br />
in the Applicati<strong>on</strong>s<br />
Committee.<br />

Employers and workers can thus actively c<strong>on</strong>tribute to making the informati<strong>on</strong> base of<br />
<strong>ILO</strong> regular supervisi<strong>on</strong> as complete, relevant and reliable as possible.<br />
