STUDENT HOUSING<br />

REFUNDS FOR DOCTORAL-LEVEL STUDENTS<br />

All refunds will be offset against all amounts owed to the <strong>Seminary</strong>.<br />

Tuition and Fee Refunds are granted as follows:<br />

1. A half refund of tuition is given for a course dropped during the two-week<br />

period that a DMin class is in session. No refund is given after this two-week<br />

period.<br />

2. The onetime application fee, the basic entry fee, and the graduation fee are<br />

nonrefundable.<br />

Housing and Board refunds are granted as follows:<br />

Students who vacate <strong>Seminary</strong> housing will receive, based on the date of<br />

departure, a prorated refund of rent and board charges, when applicable.<br />

Under all other circumstances, no refunds will be granted without authorization<br />

by the president.<br />

REFUNDS FOR STUDENTS RECEIVING STAFFORD LOANS<br />

If a student receives fi nancial aid in the form of a Stafford Student Loan, a portion<br />

of the refund due the student must be returned to the lender, in accordance with<br />

federal regulations. Refer to the Student Financial Assistance Program -Policies and<br />

Procedures manual for details.<br />

MEDICAL AND HOSPITALIZATION INSURANCE<br />

Each degree student (and spouse and children, if applicable) is required to carry<br />

medical and hospitalization insurance. For <strong>Presbyterian</strong> students under the care<br />

of a presbytery, medical and hospitalization insurance is available through the<br />

<strong>Presbyterian</strong> Church (U.S.A.).<br />

�STUDENT HOUSING AND ACCOMMODATIONS�<br />

CURRIE RESIDENCE HALL<br />

Currie Residence Hall provides privacy, security, and comfortable, fl exible, housing<br />

for single students and campus guests. Each room is equipped with central air-heat,<br />

private bath, closet, built-in desk, chair, dresser, and single bed. (Floor plans are<br />

available on our website, www.austinseminary.edu.) There is also a laundry room,<br />

common kitchen area, and a student lounge in which to relax with friends. Pets are<br />

not allowed in this building.<br />

Students provide bed and bath linens. Each student is expected to care for his<br />

or her own room responsibly, though janitorial service is provided for all other<br />

parts of the building. Room rates vary from $159 to $200 per month, with electric<br />

and water services included in the rental rate. Weekday meals are available in the<br />

<strong>Seminary</strong> dining hall.<br />

SEMINARY APARTMENTS<br />

<strong>Seminary</strong> housing also includes a wide range of unfurnished apartments varying in<br />

size from one- to four-bedroom with rental rates from $350 to $609 per month.<br />

Water and gas services are included in the rental rate. (Floor plans are available<br />

on our website, www.austinseminary.edu.) All campus housing is within close<br />

proximity to the <strong>Seminary</strong>’s main campus which helps create a uniquely caring and<br />

close community.<br />
