PURPOSE<br />

The purpose of the <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> Association is to advance he cause of theological<br />

education through <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Presbyterian</strong> <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>.While all former students are<br />

by defi nition members of the Association, other people are invited and encouraged to become<br />

members by declaration of intent to support the <strong>Seminary</strong>.<br />

The Association Board ordinarily meets twice a year: the third Monday in September<br />

and the Monday afternoon of Midwinter Lectures. The annual luncheon and meeting of the<br />

Association is also held during Midwinter Lectures at which time the offi cers are elected, and<br />

awards for service are presented. The Association is funded by the budget of <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>.<br />

Gifts from members of the Association are to be made to <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>.<br />

�ASA AWARDS FOR SERVICE�<br />

<strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> Association Awards are presented annually to persons who have<br />

distinguished themselves through service to the church. Since the inception of the program<br />

of awards, the following persons have been honored:<br />
