GIFTS TO AUSTIN SEMINARY<br />

AN INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE OF THE CHURCH<br />

<strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>’s mission is dependant upon charitable gifts from individuals,<br />

churches, and foundations. A financial commitment to <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Presbyterian</strong><br />

<strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> supports students fulfi lling their call to Christian service<br />

and leadership by providing scholarships, housing, classroom technology, library<br />

materials, and much more. Gifts to <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> afford the fi nest theological<br />

faculty and allow for an administration committed to upholding the highest<br />

standards with respect to the unique vocation of ministry.<br />

<strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> accepts gifts of cash and assets such as appreciated stock.<br />

Donations may be designated in the following ways:<br />

ANNUAL GIFTS<br />

Unrestricted gifts to the ANNUAL FUND are used for general program support<br />

critical to academic enrichment and training for ministry. These funds help meet<br />

the annual operating budget and undergird the entire work of the <strong>Seminary</strong>.<br />

Gifts designated to the ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND provide needbased<br />

fi nancial aid through tuition scholarships, helping seminarians avoid heavy<br />

educational debt as they leave seminary and enter the ministry.<br />

Donors who make a multiple-year fi nancial commitment to <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong><br />

comprise the PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM. When pledging at a Partnership level,<br />

donors receive regular <strong>Seminary</strong> publications including Windows, Insights, and<br />

invitations to <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> lectures and special events.<br />

� Student Sponsor–$1,000 per year for three years<br />

� Faculty Patron–$3,000 per year for three years<br />

� Visionary Partner–$5,000 per year for three years<br />

ENDOWMENT GIFTS<br />

An endowment is a permanent fund, established to perpetuate <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong><br />

programming. <strong>Austin</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>’s endowment funds are pooled for investment<br />

purposes, and annual income is placed in a spending account for use as specifi ed<br />

by the donor.<br />

Endowment funds established at the following levels will bear the name of the donor<br />

or someone whom the donor would like to honor or memorialize.<br />

ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP FUND<br />

Those who follow the vocation of ministry often realize modest fi nancial rewards<br />

in their careers. Financial aid in the form of scholarships minimizes educational<br />

debt and allows seminary graduates to serve where they are needed, with less<br />

consideration for salary.<br />

� A minimum gift of $10,000 provides need-based, tuition assistance<br />

� A minimum gift of $200,000 provides a full-tuition merit scholarship<br />

� A minimum gift of $500,000 provides a full merit fellowship (tuition,<br />

housing, books, and other expenses)<br />
