A service learning-based college course opened doors for expanded experiences in<br />
Colombia, a country where students had previously been reluctant to study Students’<br />
final coursework indicated that volunteering with local residents intensified their<br />
immersi<strong>on</strong> experience, enhanced their appreciati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> the culture, and accelerated<br />
