A lista de especialidades é extensa e varia desde o maravilhoso bacalhaucom broa e batatas a murro (Bacalhau à Moda do Convento), ao pato assadoe à lampreia (só na época). Para rematar, as sobremesas típicas quase que constituemum pecado da gula, de tão ricas e irresistíveis que são.If there is any region where gastronomy is immensely important, this is the Northof Portugal. The history and traditions of the land and the individuals that created richtasty dishes, generous in quantity and hospitality.This happens also at the Restaurant of the Pousada, where each recipe refersto the stories once lived there, with reminiscences of the culinary art of the monksliving here. The list of specialities is long and varied, ranging from the marvellouscodfish with cornbread and smashed potatoes (Codfish Convent Style) to the roastedduck and lamprey (a seasonal dish).
