if it needs a small quantity. This increases costs and

leads to waste. However, in digital printing, if the company

needs one label, one label can be printed. Digital

printing is part of the manufacturing process of the

carpet manufacturer and functions integrated with the

Planning/Manufacturing software system used. Therefore,

when the manufacturing order is instructed,

both the label design and the barcode part are printed

automatically. This eliminates the struggling and cost

for the barcode label sticking afterward, and there is

no risk of derangement and error because the labels

are printed consecutively in the manufacturing process.

If desired, the system can automatically insert

the carpet pattern from the pattern archive and print.

Accordingly, the label has become exclusive to the

carpet. This is especially demanded by chain stores.

Another advantage of digital printing is that design

and printing are performed within the company. In this

way, when the design is sent to out of the company,

there will be no problem regarding the privacy and the

customer information will not be shared. We supply a

digital printer which functions with a cut (sheet) feed

label liquid toner system. Due to the efficiency of our

toner system and as the fabric is our own manufacturing,

we reduce the digitally printed label cost of the

carpet manufacturer by almost half. At the start, we

allow for a completely free trial period for 15 days. At

the end of the trials, they witness the cost reduction

and easily make the purchasing decision. The price of

our printer is 1/4 of the available printers in the market

and does not have blade cost and problem because it

has the sheet-fed feature.

What is the company’s distribution of the domestic

market and export? In this regards, what are your

goals for 2020?

Almost all sales revenues of the company arisen

from digital label service are provided from the

domestic market. This is because the manufacturing

center of the world’s carpet industry, which we

provide services, is Gaziantep and Turkey. We have

cooperation with only a few companies abroad.

Our main target is the domestic market. Because

the carpet weaving center in the world is Gaziantep.

After all, we will increase the number of our customers

abroad in 2020.

How was 2019 for your company when our

country or even the world was in a difficult period

(fluctuation in exchange rates, effects of dollar and

changes in payment methods) in terms of economic

aspects? From this perspective, what are your

expectations for 2020?

Economic difficulties are not limited to Turkey. Moving

US central bank from expansionary monetary

policy to tightening monetary policy and due to the

gradual rate increase, sourcing problems began in

emerging economies and borrowing costs increased

considerably. As a result, growth rates decreased.

Recently, the whole world has faced a difficult period

due to reasons such as trade wars which the US has

recently imposed upon its trading partners, shrinking

in the Chinese economy and the painful departure

of the United Kingdom from Europe. In addition to

these, the wars and instabilities in our geography

and neighboring countries negatively affect us. In

2020, we think that the exchange rate stability will be

achieved in Turkey. But for a steady growth story in

Turkey, the geography around Turkey and neighboring

countries need to be stabilized.

All the costs of our company excluding labor are realized

on a foreign currency basis. Our sales are also on

a foreign currency basis. Therefore, the exchange rate

fluctuations did not directly affect us but indirectly.

We experience order losses when our customers are

affected by this. Despite all, we are hopeful in 2020.
