Fustat Life has exported to

12 countries in a short time.

Fustat Life, which is new in the sector and old in

experience, continues to work as one of the leading

companies in its sector. Offering a rich variety of

patterns on the carpet, the brand makes production

based on quality. Stating that they have taken advantage

of working with the latest technology machines

with their young and dynamic staff, Fustat Life

Chairman of the Board of Directors Süleyman Elmalı

said that they took part in many important domestic

and international fairs where the brand was exploded.

Elmalı added that they also produce carpet covers as

well as decorative carpets, underlining that they walk

confidently in line with their goals..

Can we get to know you and your company first?

At this sector, we are one of Turkey’s biggest producers

of quality carpets. We have 3 years experience

in carpet. Belemir Carpet our brand, and we introduce

Turkey to the world. We constantly make serious

advertisements through social media and try to show

our carpets and carpet covers in every house. We

are on our way to becoming an international brand by

taking part in our products all over the world.

Could you tell us about your production with Belemir

Carpet brand?

We do knitting, lamination, digital and press stages

in our own structure. We’re not outsourcing. We are

constantly conducting R & D studies. Our fabric and

leather weights are higher than desired. Although our

costs are very high, we never give up on quality. Our

customers’ ideas and comments are in the foreground

for us. We never compromise on the way to branding.

Which models will be in the forefront in 2020?

We anticipate that this season will be more active

in the light of our experience in the sector. In 2019,

we saw that light and simple patterns were in the

foreground. Along with these, we think that obsolete

models will be at the forefront as usual.

How do you manage your domestic sales?

We deliver our products to the domestic market through

wholesalers. We still have not made our dealer

channels. We will continue our way by making dealerships

in the future. Retail sales are definitely not

among our targets.

While machine rugs maintained their peak in

exports, the export rate increased compared to the

previous year. When you look at your export figures,

how do you interpret the table?

People started to turn to digital printed and washable

carpets. The main reasons for this are that it is easy

to wash, does not stain, carpet dust to a minimum

degree, easy to carry and the desired design can be

clearly printed on the concept can be made easily.

In a short time, the decorative carpet will continue

to come to the fore and attract more attention. This

will impact on the rise in export figures of Turkey’s

carpet industry. As a company, we participate in fairs

in order to increase our export activities. In addition to

Domotex Hannover, we will also participate in Domotex

Turkey, which will be held in July 2020.
