Aim of the project
To develop the tourism of the Rába area; to increase the quality and level of safety of aquatic tourism of the region.
The area is an important touristic centre, as all water sport fans leave from here to tour the Hungarian section of the river.
Accordingly, it is a fundamental aim to increase the level of personal safety and security of property to the highest level.
The task of the project is to build a boathouse and an on-call duty facility in Szentgotthárd, and as a result the touring
gear used on the river, which constitutes significant value can be stored safely.
Content of the project
The invitation to tender for the construction of the
boathouse and on-call duty facility was forwarded to four
construction enterprises within the framework of a public
procurement procedure. The selected constructor, after
contracting, started and finished the construction of the
boathouse and the by the deadline. The construction
was continuously inspected by a technical supervisor.
Results of the project
The comfort level of the active tourism in the Rába
area has increased. Szentgotthárd is the first Hungarian
destination of the water tourists arriving from Austria.
Since the construction of the boathouse and on-call duty
facility the wild-water river is visited not only by Hungarians,
but by more and more from Austria, as the values taken
to the river are preserved, the safety of the significant
value touring gear is guaranteed. Further development
plans cover the extension and modernisation of the boat
park, as well as the elaboration of the methodology for the
on-call duty system, ensuring full seasonal water rescue
operation services.
