Aim of the project
To extend the tourist offer of the West-Pannon region through developing a new tourist attraction, through establishing
a new product offer. As an additional aspect, the promotion of business development of the Austrian-Hungarian border
region was set through the development of the cross-border tourist relations and attractions. A special target is to establish
an active network for the angling-, wine- and gastronomy tourist service providers operating separatly and with their
involvement, service providers can ensure effective interest representation.
Content of the project
After signing the subsidy agreements, the project
launching meeting was held attended by the representatives
of the project holder and project partners. Special
working parties coordinating the project were set up.
The establishment of the quality insurance system,
the determination of the criteria system and the
establishment of the level system were made by a quality
insurance expert involved in the project implementation.
After having formulated the system the enterprises and
service providers engaged in tourism in the region were
assessed. After the analysis a catalogue was produced,
which included the enterprises with quality insurance.
The catalogue was added to the homepage of the angling
federation. The Alpine Winehouse and Information Centre
were built in Vaskeresztes. During accomplishing the
project the communication of the activities and results
and the internal monitoring were also done.
Results of the project
Through the quality insurance system the basic criteria
of quality services were built for the services provided in
the field of angling, wine and gastronomy tourism.
As a result, the two-level wine house and information
centre was built on 680 square metres, catering for several
functions: wine-house, tourist information centre and
office: gastronomy tourist centre. The sphere of services
available in the region has been extended through the
appearance of the new tourist product, which may extend
the time spent in the region by the visitors and can make
it more varied.
