Heinz Plastics expanding to the USA

For many years Heinz Glas USA has been
in corporative business with Mid Hudson
Plastics, owned and managed by Mike and
William Carlstrom. So far, both businesses
have been in collaboration concentrated on
the manufacturing of caps and closures in
the Mid Hudson Plastics plant in Newburgh/
Upstate New York.
Because of this long time trusting relationship
and the need to have a special plastic
container manufactured closer to one of
our customers in United States and also
manufactured somewhat less expensive
because of significantly lower freight costs,
we have made an agreement with the
Carlstrom family to purchase the majority
of Mid Hudson Plastics. We will also invest
in an extrusion blow moulding machine
to make these specialized containers in
Newburgh.
In May, the production was underway
with help from a few individuals from
Heinz Plastics and APIS in Germany. The
picture shown above was taken at the start
of production, from left to right: Alexander

We expect that production will grow in
2011, as the few customers of MHP are
so far very pleased with their production
quality and service.
