Rudi Gross 45 years of
service for the Heinz Family
Sometimes numbers and data do not say everything, only upon a closer look
you may see the actual dimension. On April 1st 2010, Mr. Rudi Gross has been
in the service of the Heinz Family for exactly 45 years. It is truly something very
special if “two” can work with each other in this modern world for 45 years!
During a small celebration including a company tour, champaign reception
and a lunch buffet, Mr. Gross was honored for his 45 years of employment at
Heinz. His family, the owner and manager Mr. Carl-Aug. Heinz, colleagues,
as well as friends, business partners and former employees all came out to
congratulate and to say thanks to Rudi Gross.
Rudi Gross worked his way up from an apprenticeship to the top of the
company. He has been with Heinz for 45 years due to the fact the company
has been managed very intimately and sociable and that he always had the
opportunity to find new challenges. Rudi Gross applied for an apprentice job in
business administration at Heinz glassworks in Schleiden. After achieving his
business assistant certificate, he joined the German armed forces for two years.
Afterwards continuing his work with Heinz. He married, was blessed with two
sons and decided to have a dual-education. He studied at the tax professional
school in Cologne while working full-time and achieved his degree as a
financial accountant. He took on many tasks, monitored the transition of the
glassworks in Schleiden from Heinz to Nienburger Glass in 1988/89 and saw
the change of his company from producing glass to plastic products.
In 1991, he started the development of the Heinz plastic company in Kall and
took over the management of Heinz Plastics, which was re-named in 2002 to
„KKT Kaller Kunststoff Technik“.

1964 - Rudi’s first day at work
Rudi Gross has been involved at
Heinz for many years and still
concerns himself with different
project implementations within the
Heinz Group. For example, he was
involved in founding Heinz Plastics
GmbH Dzialdowo/Poland in 1998.
He saw his largest challenge (so
far) in the development of the new
Heinz plant, HPT Hochwertige
Pharma Technik GmbH in 2000.
Together with the plant manager
Klaus Bergmann, they found
the right location in a former
nationalized microelectronics company
in Neuhaus am Rennweg.
The positive development of KKT
Kaller Kunststoff Technik GmbH
during his activity bears his
signature. Mr. Gross is appreciated
because of his knowledge,
innovative thinking and resolute
implementation of set tasks.
One of his fundamental principles
is also to promote young people
in joining the workforce of Kaller
Kunststoff Technik, to train them
professionally and in this way to
create long term qualified personnel
for the company.
