II. 2002 – 2008 Arbeitswelt in den USA - Tylle, H. D.

Tylle’s familiarity with this collection, his many years of experience and painting in the United States
and his period of work preceding this seem to have inspired his concentrated stock-taking of the
world of industrial labor in Germany from 2009 to 2011. Taking in a retrospective and self-critical
analysis of his painting before 2002, this involves gaining insights into and an overview of the contemporary
German industrial world in its upheavals and restructuring in favor of forward-looking developments,
observing people in their working environment, and documenting the here and now as
a painter – without quiet sentimentality or nostalgic idealization. We look forward to the comparison
of his U.S. pictures from 2002 to 2008 with the pictures from the German cycle from 2009 to 2011
and the works prior to 2002 of an oeuvre that now numbers some 1,400 paintings.
