OF THE THIRTY-FIRST DEGREE.<br />

ARTICLE I.<br />

1. Every Tribunal of the 31st degree, when sitting<br />

in judgment, shall be composed of ten members, and no<br />

more, not including the Advocate and Defender.<br />

2. When trying a case, in which a Sovereign Prince<br />

of the Royal Secret is a party, all the members must<br />

have attained the 32nd degree, and in all other cases, at<br />

least five must have attained it viz: President, Councilors,<br />

Secretary and Treasurer, and the others must have<br />

attained the 31st degree.<br />

ARTICLE I [.<br />

1. Tribunals of the 31st degree have exclusive jurisdiction<br />

to hear, try and determine all offences against<br />

<strong>Masonic</strong> law, or the statutes, constitutional provisions,<br />

rules and regulations of the Supreme Council of the 33rd<br />

degree, committed by brothers who have attained any<br />

degree above the 18th, and of appeals from all judgments<br />

of all Chapters of Rose Croix within their jurisdiction.<br />

But as to offenees committed by Knights of the<br />

Rose Croix, attached to regular Chapters, and for the<br />

punishment thereof, the statutes of such Chapters have<br />

made provision, their jurisdiction shall be concurrent;<br />

and in such cases, the body first having possession of<br />

the case shall proceed and the other desist.<br />

2. <strong>The</strong> Tribunals of the 31st degree, shall also have<br />

~urisdietion in all cases ordered by the Chapters to be
