OBLIGATION PRINCE OF MERCY.<br />
I do promise and swear, in the presence of the<br />
Great Architect of the Universe, that I will never reveal<br />
the secrets of this degree to any person or persons what-<br />
ever, unless<br />
the shall have taken all the jYrecediiig<br />
degrees in a regular and constitutional manner.<br />
I do furthermore promise and swear that I will never<br />
confer or assist in conferring this degree upon any person<br />
unless by virtue of a Patent or warrant of constitution<br />
emanating from a Sovereign or Deputy Grand<br />
Inspector General or a regular constituted consistory of<br />
Princes of the Royal Secret, 32nd degree, to whose<br />
constitutions and regulations I now swear fealty and<br />
allegiance, and then only after I shall have been informed<br />
of the pure life and irreproachable manner and<br />
morals of the candidate.<br />
And should I violate this, my obligation, I consent to<br />
be condemned, cast out and despised by the whole univecse,<br />
and may the Supreme Architect of the Universe<br />
guide, guard and protect me to fulfil the same. Amen.<br />
