Throughout 2011, experts from the Hydrobiological Institute - Ohrid and the Institute for Fisheries and Aquaculture “Hydra” - Tirana have been working together with UNDP to collect data on the Prespa fish population. This valuable data will help decision makers improve the management of the important fish species and ensure their conservation. Ljubo Stefanov, nature photographer, was with them in the field. His camera managed to capture all 19 different species of fish living in the Prespa Lakes. The photos were taken in custom made aquariums, with the use of natural light.
