q. National <strong>Board</strong> Certified Teachers<br />

The most prestigious credential a teacher can earn in the United States is National <strong>Board</strong><br />

Certification. This voluntary assessment program recognizes and rewards great teachers after<br />

measuring their classroom practices against high and rigorous standards. The following teachers have<br />

Peggy McKee, Elementary Math Content Specialist and Scott Sheets, teacher at Clays Mill<br />

Elementary School gave a brief overview <strong>of</strong> the Singapore Math program. A Power Point<br />

presentation was shown. A hard copy <strong>of</strong> the Power Point presentation is included with the<br />

permanent minutes.<br />
