5. Bid 22-11 – Asphalt Striping and Sealing<br />

BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE:<br />

Due to traffic wear and sunlight exposure, parking lots need to be re-striped every five years. Sealing<br />

parking lots helps eliminate moisture forming under asphalt. During freezing temperatures the<br />

moisture freezes, causing crumbling. Sealing also extends the life <strong>of</strong> the asphalt, thereby saving<br />

costs for repair.<br />
