5. Bid 22-11 – Asphalt Striping and Sealing
BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE:
Due to traffic wear and sunlight exposure, parking lots need to be re-striped every five years. Sealing
parking lots helps eliminate moisture forming under asphalt. During freezing temperatures the
moisture freezes, causing crumbling. Sealing also extends the life of the asphalt, thereby saving
costs for repair.
