K. Approval <strong>of</strong> Action Items<br />
Action items were discussed in detail at the March 14, 2011 Agenda Planning Meeting.<br />
18. Approval <strong>of</strong> Third-Party Special Inspection Agreement for the Renovation <strong>of</strong> Clays Mill Elementary<br />
School BG 10-010<br />
A motion was made by Melissa Bacon and seconded by Amanda Ferguson to authorize the Superintendent to<br />
execute a contract with L.E. Gregg Associates in the amount <strong>of</strong> $45,396.00 (Forty-five Thousand, Three Hundred<br />
Ninety-six Dollars) to perform the third-party special inspections outlined above. The motion carried with a vote<br />
<strong>of</strong> 5 to 0.<br />
19. Approval <strong>of</strong> Recommendation from the Local Planning Committee<br />
A motion was made by Doug Barnett and seconded by Daryl Love to approve changes to the District<br />
Facilities in relation to the enrollment at Millcreek Elementary School, subject to the approval <strong>of</strong> the Kentucky<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong>, District Facilities Branch, per the provisions <strong>of</strong> 702 KAR 4:180. The motion carried<br />
with a vote <strong>of</strong> 5 to 0.<br />
20. Approval <strong>of</strong> Bid, Interim and Proposed Contracts, and a Revision to the BG-1 Project Application<br />
for the Renovation <strong>of</strong> Mary Todd Elementary School BG 10-260<br />
A motion was made by Melissa Bacon and seconded by Doug Barnett to accept the base bid with Alternates 1,<br />
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, as submitted by Alliance corporation, approve the interim contract in the amount <strong>of</strong><br />
$2,500,000 (Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) and the proposed contract in the amount <strong>of</strong> $8,678,503<br />
(Eight Million, Six Hundred Seventy-eight Thousand, Five Hundred Three Dollars), and approve a revision to the<br />
BG-1 Project Application for a total <strong>of</strong> $10,978,318 (Ten Million, Nine Hundred and Seventy-eight Thousand, Three<br />
Hundred Eighteen Dollars), for the renovation <strong>of</strong> Mary Todd Elementary School, subject to the approval <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Kentucky Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong>, District Facilities Branch, per the provisions <strong>of</strong> 702 KAR 4:160. The motion<br />
carried with a vote <strong>of</strong> 5 to 0.<br />

$2,500,000 (Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) and the proposed contract in the amount <strong>of</strong> $12,118,900<br />
(Twelve Million, One Hundred Eighteen Thousand, Nine Hundred Dollars), and approve a revision to the BG-1<br />
Project Application for a total <strong>of</strong> $14,739,927 (Fourteen Million, Seven Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand, Nine<br />
Hundred Twenty-seven Dollars), for the renovation <strong>of</strong> Breckinridge Elementary School, subject to the approval <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Kentucky Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>Education</strong>, District Facilities Branch, per the provisions <strong>of</strong> 702 KAR 4:160. The motion<br />
