The wood anatomy <strong>of</strong> 28 species <strong>of</strong> 18 genera <strong>of</strong> the an-<br />

giosperms is described in detail; each with a distribution<br />

covering both pine-oak forest and tropical deciduous for-<br />

est <strong>of</strong> the east <strong>of</strong> Mexico. The wood anatomical diver-<br />

sity has been used for identification. The descriptions are<br />

made with new knowledge and in the light <strong>of</strong> experience<br />

in LACITEMA. The descriptions were modified and some<br />

additions were made and most individual descriptions are<br />

followed by ecological and uses notes. The wood anatomical<br />

range encountered is presented in the descriptions for each<br />
