Describes a study of the basic density of Eucalyptus deanei,
E. dunnii, E. grandis, and E. saligna of different growth
rates and age, and from different provenances. Radial den-
sity variation was determined for E. grandis and E. saligna.
Variation between provenances in density was sufficient to
suggest tree improvement studies.
