Examining in greater detail <strong>the</strong> distribution in <strong>the</strong> successive cruises, two concentrations<br />

were evident within <strong>the</strong> area over which <strong>the</strong> larvae <strong>of</strong> this series were distributed.<br />

One may be called <strong>the</strong> nor<strong>the</strong>rn center; <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>the</strong> sou<strong>the</strong>rn center.<br />

coast (Shinnecock I <strong>and</strong> II), <strong>and</strong> finally to <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fing <strong>of</strong> eastern Massachusetts (Chatham<br />
