Administering Sidewinder G2 using Telnet 2-26 Administrator’s Overview Connecting to the Sidewinder G2 using Telnet Note: You must enable the Telnet server in the appropriate burb(s) before you will be allowed to Telnet. See “Setting up an internal (trusted) Telnet server” on page 2-24. 1. Telnet to the Sidewinder G2 and log in by typing the following command, using your Sidewinder G2 host name. telnet hostname When prompted, enter your Sidewinder G2 authentication information. Depending on the authentication method configured for you on the Sidewinder G2, you must now provide a valid password or a special passcode or personal identification number (PIN) before you are logged on to the Sidewinder G2. 2. Enter the following command: srole Note: To change to the AdmnRO domain, enter srole AdmnRO. Enter commands from the UNIX prompt as required. Refer to Appendix A or the man pages for information on using individual commands.
