Running reports Lesson 8: Exploring What You’ve Done 128 In this exercise, you’ll run a report on the classes in the Employee Hiring Classes diagram you built in Lessons 6 and 7. The name of the report is Java. What you do To run the Java report: 1 Use the Output option on the View menu to open the Output window on the FrameWork desktop if it’s not open already. 2 Open the Employee Hiring Classes diagram if it’s not open already. 3 Click on the background in the diagram window to ensure that no objects are selected. 4 On the Tools menu, select Reports. FrameWork opens the Reports dialog box. 5 In the Reports dialog box, select Java. Then press the Generate button.
Running reports While creating the report, FrameWork shows you its progress on the Generated Output page of the Output window. Viewing the report FrameWork writes the Java report to a directory named Java_EmployeeHiringClasses. This directory is a subdirectory of the PtechACG directory in the current root directory. If the current root directory is on your C: drive, the directory path for the report files is C:\PtechACG\Java_EmployeeHiringClasses. The name of the main report file is index.html.
