Q Sentral<br />

The year 2011 has been ano<strong>the</strong>r successful year for <strong>the</strong><br />

Engineering <strong>and</strong> Construction (E&C) division with revenue<br />

surpassing RM1.3 billion.<br />

Projects In Kuala Lumpur Sentral And Its Vicinity<br />

In Kuala Lumpur Sentral <strong>and</strong> its vicinity alone, <strong>the</strong> E&C Division<br />

has contracts worth RM2.53 billion, representing construction<br />

works encompassing Grade A offi ce buildings, retail mall,<br />

residential buildings <strong>and</strong> infrastructure packages.<br />

In terms of achievement, E&C division has in 2011 completed<br />

its fi rst Grade A offi ce building that comes with Green building<br />

certifi cation under <strong>the</strong> Singapore’s BCA Green Mark (Platinum<br />

rating) for its Lot E-KL Sentral Park project. The project comprises<br />

fi ve blocks of low-rise buildings with a GFA of approximately<br />

980,000 sq. ft.<br />

In addition to this, <strong>the</strong> E&C division is also progressing well in<br />

<strong>the</strong> construction of <strong>the</strong> LEED Gold certifi ed offi ce tower at Lot<br />

348, <strong>the</strong> new headquarters of Shell Malaysia. The Lot 348 project<br />

also comprises a 27-storey service apartment, to be managed by<br />

The Ascott, <strong>the</strong> world’s largest inter<strong>nation</strong>al serviced residences<br />

spread across key cities in Asia-Pacifi c, Europe <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> Gulf.<br />

E&C division is also involved in <strong>the</strong> construction of Lot A, a 41storey<br />

offi ce tower, known as Menara CIMB in Kuala Lumpur<br />

Sentral. The project, scheduled for completion in 2012, will be<br />

home to CIMB Investment Bank, one of <strong>the</strong> largest fi nancial<br />

institutions in South East Asia.<br />

E&C division is also responsible for <strong>the</strong> construction of two<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r offi ce towers measuring 27 <strong>and</strong> 37-storeys high that are<br />

connected to a 29-storey hotel tower. This project, which has a<br />

combined GFA of 1.2 million sq. ft, is located at Lot G Parcel C &<br />

D in Kuala Lumpur Sentral development.<br />

The division is on track in completing <strong>the</strong> Lot G shopping mall<br />

known as Nu Sentral in 2012 <strong>and</strong> will attain <strong>the</strong> Singapore’s BCA<br />

Green Mark compliance <strong>and</strong> GBI certifi cations. The combined<br />

GFA of <strong>the</strong> shopping mall <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> attached offi ce towers are in<br />

excess of 1.7 million sq. ft.<br />

In 2011, <strong>the</strong> E&C division<br />
