• Do not touch tile lens inside file disc cover. Keep<br />
the disc co_er closed except when inscrling and<br />
removing the disc. to k_p dust oul.<br />
• When your canlcorder does nol work because tile<br />
pickup lens is dirty, clean it with a blower (not<br />
supplied). Do not touch the pickup lens dire(fly<br />
during cleaning because this may cause the<br />
cam(order to illulll/nctioll.<br />

Care and storage of the camera lens<br />
• Wipe tile surlacc of the lens clean with a soil cloth<br />
in tile lbllowing instmlces:<br />
when lhere are fingerprints on the lens sud_ce.<br />

when the lens is exposed to salty air such as al<br />
lhe seaside.<br />
• Store tile lens in a well-venlilaled localion subject<br />
to little dirt or dust.<br />
• To prcxent mold, periodically clean the lens as<br />
described above. It is recommended that you<br />
opcrate your cain(order about once a [llonth tO<br />

To chargethe pre-installed<br />
rechargeable battery<br />
Your c:mlct)rder has a pre-installed<br />
rechargeable battery to retain the date. time.<br />
and other settittgs evett when the POWER<br />
switch is set to OFF (CHG). The pre-iustalled<br />
rechargeable battery is always charged while<br />
you are using your catncorder but it will get<br />
discharged gradually if you do not use your<br />
cam(order. The rechargeable battery will be<br />
fully discharged in about 3 months if you<br />
do not use your camcorder at alh However.<br />
evett if the preqnstalled rechargeable battery<br />
is not charged, the cam(order operatiott will<br />
not be affected as long as you are not<br />
recording the (late.<br />
• Procedures<br />
Connect your cam(order to a wall socket<br />
usittg the AC Adaptor supplied with your<br />
cam(order, and leave your cam(order with<br />
the POWER switch turned off for more than<br />
24 hours.<br />
To changethe battery of the Remote<br />
Commander(For DCR-DVD304E/<br />
DVD305E/DVD755E)<br />
@ While pressing on the tab, inscl your<br />
fingernail into the slit to pull out the battery<br />
case.<br />
@ Place a new battel T with the + side facing up.<br />
@ Insert the hattery case back into the Remote<br />
Commander until it clicks.<br />
