Reginald and Sitric, sons of Godfrey, King of Dublin, return to Northumberland<br />

In their absence the Irish attempt to recover Dublin.<br />

Reginald and Sitric made Kings of different divisions of Northumbria.<br />

Death of Reginald.<br />

THESE victories were followed by events which left<br />

to Sitric the sole dominion of "the foreigners of<br />

Ireland." For Reginald sailed into Scotland to assist<br />

Ottar in founding a kingdom there, and from thence<br />

into England to pursue his own designs on Mercia.<br />
